Who is the hardest Gem in Houseki no Kuni?
For example, Diamond has the highest hardness of 10, but is second-class in terms of toughness. Gems like Jade can have an average hardness of 7, but have excellent toughness.
To me, Houseki no Kuni is a story that explores human nature. It's a coming-of-age story to the extreme. The main conflict in the story is Phos' insecurity in their usefulness. Because of their physical defect — a hardness of only 3.5 — and their clumsiness, Phos struggles to be useful to others.
Houseki no Kuni is a manga series written and illustrated by Haruko Ichikawa, starting in 2012. As of November 2022, there are currently 12 volumes.
I understand that they are all genderless and "they" can be an option, but the Gems all use explicitly male pronouns in the Japanese script to talk about each other.

Type of Villain
Phosphophyllite, simply known as Phos, is the main protagonist in Land of the Lustrous manga and anime series, and the youngest gem at the beginning of the story.
Maybe most interestingly, Phos begins as non-binary, rather than being made so by their physical transformations—something that troubles that medically-centred model of trans identity noted above, even if the character design simultaneously buys into it in other ways.

Sensei was the prayer machine meant to help spirits like them move on, but he hasn't done so because of either being broken or other restraints (such as morality) stopping him. Aechmea explains that at first, Lunarians showered him with gifts and praise, vowing to do anything for him to pray.
Cinnabar is a girl's name.
What are Phos's pronouns?
Phos can be interpreted as either masculine or feminine because he's just immature and energetic.
As told by Ventricosus
It's said that there, they split into three parts; the spirit, flesh, and bone. In other words, humans evolved into three different species and lived on.
After losing their head to the Lunarians, it was replaced with Lapis Lazuli's head instead. They wear Lapis' hair in a high ponytail when Cairngorm asks then to change it due to them appearing too similar to Lapis.
Bort (ボルツ, Borutsu) is one of the Gems who mainly do patrol duty. They are a diamond-class Gem whose hardness and toughness is top level.
His DNA isn't held together or substituted with gem light since he can exist as a human without his gem. Yes, his human form is sickly and physically weak, but it has never had to exist without the gem supporting its physical strength, durability and immune system before.
The oldest gemstone formed on Earth is zircon. In 2001, researchers found a piece of natural zircon in Jack Hills, Western Australia and dated it back to around 4.4 billion years.
Of all the gemstones out there, diamond is the hardest with a Mohs rating of 10, while sapphires (Mohs 9) and rubies (Mohs 9) come in second. Emeralds have a good hardness rating but has poor toughness due to the excessive inclusions they tend to have.
Detecting Phos inside the snail, Diamond finds a weak point in its shell, allowing Bort to defeat it. Discovering that Phos supposedly has transformed into a small slug creature, Diamond tries to find a way to turn them back to normal, but finds little help from the other Lustrous.

Variegatus explains that Wentricosus regretted for her entire life, that she betrayed Phos. After Antarc is taken away, Phos is shocked and haunted by this memory.
What Gems are non-binary?
For instance, Obsidian, a fusion of Steven Universe and fellow Crystal Gems Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl, and Rainbow Quartz 2.0, a fusion of Steven Universe and fellow Crystal Gem Pearl, were confirmed as non-binary by storyboarders Colin Howard and Joe Johnston.
Phos is a human, because she has parts of all of the three races together. She is the bone Legs from the flesh And her eye is well.... From the lunarians, the soul.

Land of the Lustrous (Japanese: 宝石の国, Hepburn: Hōseki no Kuni, lit. "Country of Jewels") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Haruko Ichikawa.
Synopsis. Phos and their band of defected Gems have agreed on a truce with the Lunarians. In exchange for the restoration of the Gems who had been captured by the Lunarians over the years, they will help them to get Kongo-Sensei to pray for them. Thus letting the Lunarians pass on into the next world.
Choosing Kongo will ensure that you cannot win a religious victory, but can help in achieving a cultural victory. It's important to know the ins and outs of the civilization you are choosing if you want to come out on top.

Diamond is the hardest natural material in the world.
What is the hardest gem to get?
The intervals between numbers on the scale are not equal, especially between 9 and 10. Even though ruby and sapphire (corundum) rate a 9, a diamond is many times harder. Chrysoberyl is the next hardest gem (Mohs hardness of 8.5) followed by topaz and spinel, which have a Mohs hardness of 8.
The diamond is the hardest gemstones, while talc is a very soft mineral. The scale by which the hardness of minerals is measured is the Mohs Hardness Scale.
Jadeite is 6.5 to 7 and nephrite is 6 to 6.5 on the Mohs hardness scale, so some care should be taken to avoid scratches. However, both of these gemstones have exceptional toughness and are very resistant to breaking or chipping.
Corundum (e.g., ruby and sapphire) are the most durable gemstones when combining hardness and toughness – 8 on Mohs Scale/'Excellent' toughness.
Painite : Not just the rarest gemstone, but also the rarest mineral on earth, Painite holds the Guinness World Record for it. After its discovery in the year 1951, there existed only 2 specimens of Painite for the next many decades. By the year 2004, there were less than 2 dozens known gemstones.
Steven loses his gem
The answer, it turns out, is that he would need to reform: Once White Diamond pulls out his Gem in an effort to revive Pink Diamond, Steven is left deadly ill, while the Gem goes through the stages of its own evolution from Pink to Rose Quartz to Steven.
Origin & Supply of Turkizite
It is incredibly rare and can only be found in one place on Earth. It is said that there are only 5 to 6 years of mining left for this stone. The higher cost of the gemstone is attributed to its rarity; it is not often found in the regular market or jewellery stores.
Sapphire Durability
After diamonds, sapphire (with rubies) are the second hardest gemstone. They're also much tougher than diamonds and are ideal for daily wear.
How rare are rubies? Rubies are one of the rarest gemstones. The rarest rubies come from Burma (Myanmar), due to their high quality and exceptional color. Good quality rubies larger than one carat are also extremely rare—and expensive.
Ammolite. In 1981, the World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO) declared ammolite a new organic gem. Occurring in limited deposits in the Rocky Mountains, this gem material is much rarer than diamond.
What's stronger than a diamond?
Scientists have found a mineral stronger than diamond. They say lonsdaleite could be used to fortify industrial tools like drill bits and saw blades - AND teach us about the evolution of earth.
The scientists found Q-carbon to be 60% harder than diamond-like carbon (a type of amorphous carbon with similar properties to diamond). This has led them to expect Q-carbon to be harder than diamond itself, although this still remains to be proven experimentally.
Jadeite jade, the rarest and most valuable form of jade, is also known as 'Burmese Jade', (after it's traditional and still most important source - Burma). It has been in wide use only since the mid-18th century, and today is considered the 'precious' form of jade. Most 'fine jewelry' items of jade consist of jadeite.
Black Jade is a mineral that belongs to the jadeite-jade group and has a hardness rating of 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale, making it durable enough for daily wear.
Grade 1: Many inclusions, most of which are black. Grade 2: Many inclusions, most of which are white, with some black inclusions. Grade 3: Some inclusions, all are white or light coloured. Grade 4: Few inclusions, all white or light coloured.
